http://elitistjerks.com/f75/t110326-cataclysm_fire_mage_compendium/ has it all broken down for fire mages. I'll go into this quickly if you lack the skill to read.
Int > Hit > Crit > Haste > Mastery
Hit cap is 17%
Soft haste cap is 12.5% with raid buffs. Basically with this cap all the fire dots get 1 extra tick
Reforge mastery to crit or hit if you need it.
A very helpful addon is called CombustionHelper, on curse.com, which gives a timer on the duration of dots on the target.
Also for gearing i use http://elitistjerks.com/rawr.php, which breaks down gearing to find the best dps out of any given gear. Helpful Tip is to watch the youtube video about rawr to get your feet wet.
